Terms of Service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Greedbegone NOVA ("Greedbegone NOVA", "we", "us") for using Greedbegone NOVA: building, publishing and hosting your website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you're using Greedbegone NOVA for a business or organization, you agree on its behalf.
1. Your account
You need to be at least 18 and give us accurate details. Keep your password private: you're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away at matt@greedbegone.com if you think someone else has used it.
2. Plans, payments and renewals
Each plan has a one-time setup fee and a monthly fee for hosting, SSL and updates. Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
The monthly fee renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account; your site stays online until the end of the month you've paid for. Monthly fees aren't prorated or refunded for partial months. The setup fee, extra pages and one-time add-ons (like animations, the blog, the Media Manager, tracking & chat or the accessibility toolbar) are non-refundable once delivered, and add-ons you buy stay with your site if you change plans.
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it still can't be collected, we may take your site offline until the balance is paid. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing month.
3. Free codes and partner referrals
Promotional and free codes cover what they say they cover (usually the plan fees), can't be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn if misused. Partner commissions are governed by the partner program's own terms shown when you apply.
4. Your content
You own the words, photos, logos and other material you put on your site. You give us permission to store, copy, display and publish it as needed to run your site and the service (for example, to make backups or show it in your editor). This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups that expire on their own schedule.
You're responsible for your content and must have the rights to use it. That includes photos, music, video and other people's names or reviews. You're also responsible for your site meeting the laws that apply to you, such as consumer, advertising, privacy, cookie and accessibility laws.
Stock photos we suggest come from Unsplash under the Unsplash License. They can't be sold as-is or used to imply endorsement by the people shown.
5. What you can't do
Don't use Greedbegone NOVA to publish or send anything that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, is fraudulent or deceptive (including phishing or fake reviews), harasses or threatens people, promotes violence or hate, contains sexual content involving minors, or spreads malware or spam. Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the service or other customers' sites, and don't resell the service without our written permission.
If we believe a site breaks these rules, we may remove the content, take the site offline or close the account. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
6. Copyright and DMCA
We respect copyright and expect our customers to do the same. If you believe something on a website we host infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512):
Copyright Agent, Greedbegone NOVA
Email: matt@greedbegone.com
Your notice must include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) a description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed; (3) the web address of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it; (4) your name, postal address, phone number and email; (5) a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
When we receive a complete notice, we'll remove or disable access to the material promptly and let the customer who posted it know. If you're that customer and believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send our agent a counter-notice with: your signature; the material removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and phone number, with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the U.S., any judicial district where we may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We may then restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless the original sender tells us they've filed a lawsuit.
Repeat infringers. We close the accounts, and take down the sites, of customers who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights, in appropriate circumstances. Please be aware that knowingly making a false claim in a notice or counter-notice can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
7. Online stores
If you run a store on your site, payments go through your own Stripe account (Stripe Connect), and you're the seller. You're responsible for your products, prices, taxes, shipping, refunds, returns, customer service and following the laws that apply to selling. Greedbegone NOVA keeps a platform fee of 1.5% of each sale, in addition to Stripe's own fees. We may close a store that sells prohibited or illegal products.
8. Domains and SSL
You keep ownership of your domain name and are responsible for renewing it with your registrar. While your site is hosted with us, we provide SSL certificates (the padlock) at no extra charge; they're issued by Let's Encrypt or our host and renewed automatically. If you point your domain somewhere else, cancel or let your domain lapse, your site and certificate at that domain will stop working.
9. Availability, backups and changes to the service
We work hard to keep sites fast and online, but we can't promise the service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We keep a version history of each site for 20 days so recent changes can be restored, but you should keep your own copies of anything important.
We improve Greedbegone NOVA all the time and may add, change or retire features and designs. If we retire something you've paid for, we'll offer a reasonable replacement or a prorated refund.
10. Cancellation and closing your account
You can cancel anytime. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or go unpaid. After your account is closed or your site has been offline for unpaid fees for 60 days, we may permanently delete your site and its content. Ask us at matt@greedbegone.com if you'd like a copy of your content before then.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise any particular result from your website, such as search rankings, traffic, sales or legal compliance. See our Disclaimer for more.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Greedbegone NOVA won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your store, or your breaking these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including legal fees.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in your account at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Greedbegone NOVA after that means you accept the new terms.
15. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where Greedbegone NOVA is based, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer your account without our consent; we may transfer these terms as part of a merger or sale of our business. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
